Concerns - 2002 architects report

Concerns have been expressed over the extensive areas of damp apparent on the walls. This includes peeling paint, fragmenting, blown and falling plasterwork to the Nave and Aisles walls together with an excessive build up of salt deposits on the arcade stone work. Leaks are occurring through the roof requiring vessels to be placed at key locations within the Nave. There are clearly high levels of moisture present or passing through the structure, presenting a risk of decay to the stonework, plasterwork and timber.
